I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning.
Text: Harriet B. Stowe, 1853
When I heard this hymn for the first time a few weeks ago, I was hooked. Finding a second version was great! I love them both! CONSOLATION by Mendelssohn is beautiful but slightly bittersweet and wistful – perfect for services before Easter. SANKEY is unapologetically over-the-top sweet (that’s Sankey’s signature style) and it would be lovely in an Easter service. What do you think?
